Terms of Service
Effective date: May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Anivow iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
Anivow is an addiction recovery and habit-building iOS application. The Service is operated by the Anivow development team. For any questions regarding these Terms, contact us at support@anivow.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Anivow is rated 17+ on the Apple App Store. We do not knowingly provide the Service to children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will terminate their account promptly.
3. User Accounts
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@anivow.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Anivow offers a free tier and two auto-renewable premium subscription plans. Both paid plans unlock the full suite of Anivow premium features, including all companion evolution stages, Epic & Legendary badge tiers, advanced streak analytics, and an ad-free experience.
4.1 Available Plans
Monthly
Billed once per month. Renews automatically every 30 days until cancelled.
Yearly
Billed once per year. Renews automatically every 12 months until cancelled. Best value.
4.2 Billing & Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → Anivow).
4.3 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. If a free trial is available, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancelling before the trial ends prevents any charge. Only one free trial is available per Apple ID.
4.4 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. You may also reach us at support@anivow.com and we will do our best to assist you with your refund request.
4.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. If we increase prices, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Post content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, or otherwise harmful to other users.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems.
- Upload viruses or any other malicious code.
- Collect personal data about other users without their explicit consent.
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat violators without prior notice.
6. User Content
The Service allows you to post, share, and display content such as messages, images, and progress updates ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Anivow a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights and complies with these Terms and all applicable laws. We are not responsible for User Content but reserve the right to remove it at our discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all of its original content — including the Anivow name, logo, 3D companion design, UI/UX, and software — are and will remain the exclusive property of Anivow and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App, unless prohibited restrictions do not apply or you have our written permission.
8. Health & Wellness Disclaimer
Anivow is a supportive tool for personal growth and habit-building. It is not a medical device, clinical treatment, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction or a mental health crisis, please seek help from a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact emergency services immediately (911 in Canada). We make no guarantee that the Service will help you achieve any particular outcome.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec Law 25) and other applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANIVOW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account in the App. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — you must cancel separately through your Apple ID account settings.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
